As reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund duo Gregor Kobel and Karim Adeyemi aim to return for the Bundesliga game against FC Köln on Saturday evening.
Kobel missed games against RB Leipzig, Chelsea and Schalke after picking up a muscular injury during the warm-up prior to their 2-1 against Leipzig, prompting Edin Terzic into making a late change in the starting XI, calling upon Alexander Meyer.
Kobel traveled to London with Dortmund last week but playing against Chelsea in the Champions League would have likely aggravated the injury, the reason he also missed BVB’s 2-2 draw against Schalke in the 100th Revierderby. The 25-year-old is expected to return in goal against FC Köln.
Another player that has been missing in Adeyemi. He tore a hamstring in Dortmund’s 4-1 win against Hertha Berlin on February 19. The 21-year-old completed his first running sessions last weekend and whilst he may not start against Köln, Ruhr Nachrichten suggest he will make the squad.
Marco Reus also missed the Revierderby against Schalke due to an infection. The 33-year-old is expected to return to training in a timely manner.
