In a stock market announcement, Copenhagen announced that goalkeeper Kamil Grabara will leave the club next summer and join Wolfsburg.
The deal is expected to be around €13.5m and Grabara will join Wolfsburg at the end of this season. However, according to Kicker, Wolfsburg also have the option to complete the signing in January which will allow the 24-year-old to join the Bundesliga side then.
Grabara is to be the replacement for Wolfsburg’s current goalkeeper Koen Casteels. Earlier in the week, Wolfsburg had announced that the 31-year-old will not renew his contract at the club, which expires at the end of the season.
It would make sense for Wolfsburg to use the option to complete the deal in January as it will give time for Grabara to not only be fully integrated into the team but also to settle into life in Germany and the Bundesliga before then making him number one next summer.
