Oliver Kahn has responded to reports that his job as Bayern Munich chairman is under threat, saying he’s not worried about his future.
According to recent reports, Oliver Kahn’s future as Bayern Munich CEO is under discussion following a turbulent and disappointing 2022/23 season for the German champions.
However, Kahn himself claims he’s not worried about the speculation surrounding his future.
“I don’t waste a second thinking about my contract at the moment, it’s always about FC Bayern,” Kahn told Bild.
“The sporting results we have achieved recently do not meet our expectations. The goal is to get FC Bayern back to where we belong: at the top in all competitions. To achieve this, we will leave no stone unturned,” added the former goalkeeper, whose contract expires in 2024.
Bayern president Herbert Hainer recently dismissed rumors that Kahn could be released as “not true”.
