Juventus’ “reshaped” proposal opens doors for Ángel Di María

The saga concerning Ángel Di María’s much-awaited move to Juventus has become a matter of significant importance amid other clamours ahead of an impending summer transfer window.

According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the stalemate between Juventus and the entourage of Ángel Di María has disappeared, with the Argentinian now closing in on making a decision on his uncertain future.

The report understands that a narrow yet vital tweak in the terms of the contract offered to the player has led to the change in the situation.

Previously, the Bianconeri management had proposed a two-year contract to the former Real Madrid star, while Di María wanted a one-year deal, which Juventus have now managed to put on his table.

It is suggested that the new offer includes a fixed one-year deal plus an option for another year. The winger could decide upon whether to trigger the one-year option following his first year with the Old Lady.

The South American superstar, who will leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer this season, seemingly appreciates the proposition and is now seriously pondering upon the terms. He is also talking to his family members before coming to a resolution.

It is expected that Di María will soon take the decisive call. Should his answer portray a denial, Juventus could turn towards the likes of Domenico Berardi and Nicolò Zaniolo. The report also claims that Juve have frozen Filip Kostic’s deal due to the stalemate with Di María. Once the answer arrives, Juventus will ramp up their efforts to land other transfer priorities.
