Talks of a contract renewal are well on track between USMNT midfielder Weston McKennie and Serie A giants Juventus.
The contacts between the two parties have been ongoing over the last few months and as per TuttoJuve.com, the signs are increasingly positive. The new contract will keep him in Turin till 2028 or 2029 and will also have a salary increase.
McKennie was signed by Juventus in 2020 from Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga. Since then he has made 171 appearances for the Bianconeri and notched up 18 goals and 18 assists. His Juventus career looked done when he was sent on loan to Leeds United in England for the 2023/24 season but this season, he has been one of their better players and has imposed himself as a versatile and dependable member of the squad. Previous Juventus manager Thiago Motta brought out the best of him and it remains to be seen whether current manager Igor Tudor or whoever takes charge next season, can do the same.
