Juventus midfielder Leandro Paredes is set to return to parent club Paris Saint-Germain when his loan deal runs out at the end of the season.
According to TMW, the Bianconeri have already lined up a replacement for the 28-year-old, with on-loan midfielder Nicolo Rovella set to return to the Allianz Stadium this summer.
Paredes joined the Serie A giants last summer, but his loan move has not gone according to plan, having started just five of his 17 league appearances this season.
The Argentine defensive midfielder has fallen out of favour with head coach Massimiliano Allegri and the likes of Adrien Rabiot, Manuel Locatelli, and Fabio Miretti are all ahead in the pecking order.
Juventus are preparing for a summer clearout, and Paredes is one of the players that will leave the club this summer, but the Bianconeri already have a replacement in place.
With the club focusing on their new strategy of injecting young players into the first-team setup, Rovella has been earmarked as the preferred candidate to replace Parades.
The likes of Enzo Barrenechea, Nikola Sekulov, Nicolo Fagioli, and Matias Soule have already had their taste of first-team action, having progressed through the youth ranks.
Rovella has been a standout performer for AC Monza this season, racking up 17 appearances for the Serie A newcomers.
The 21-year-old has played a pivotal role in Monza’s push for a top-flight stay, and the Biancorossi look set to achieve their target as they sit in 13th place on the table, 15 points off the bottom three.
The defensive midfielder has created one big chance and recorded a respectable 1.8 tackles per game while winning 54% of his total duels.
Rovella, who is often deployed in a pivot, has established himself as a leader in Raffaele Palladino’s side, and his performances have not gone unnoticed by Juventus.
The Italian has represented his nation at every youth level but is yet to make his first team debut for Roberto Mancini’s side.
