Juventus keen to sign Arsenal target and Bundesliga star Evan Ndicka

Juventus are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt star Evan Ndicka, according to reports.

The Frenchman has been an important figure at the Waldstadion since joining the club in 2018.

But his current contract at the Eagles is set to expire at the end of the 2022-23 season and he is yet to pen an extension.

Several Premier League clubs are said to be keen on the 23-year-old, including Arsenal who could bring in further reinforcements in January (as per Il Romanista).

However, Juventus are also interested in signing Ndicka to bolster their defensive ranks, according to Calciomercato.com. It is said that the Serie A giants have already made contact over a possible transfer.

Why Ndicka is an excellent defender?

The French footballer started his senior career at Ligue 1 side Auxerre before moving to Frankfurt in the summer of 2018.

Since his arrival in Germany, he has clocked up 155 appearances across all competitions with 10 goals to his name.

The 23-year-old was a key member of the team last season when the Eagles lifted the Europa League in Seville, Spain.

He started 10 matches in Europe last campaign, including the final against Rangers when he played around 100 minutes of the game.

The centre-back is highly rated for his concentration, aerial duels and tackling ability.

Last season, he made 32 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring four goals and contributing four assists. The defender averaged an impressive 1.9 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 4.1 clearances per game in the German top-flight last campaign (as per WhoScored).
