Juventus club legend and defender Giorgio Chiellini is set to meet Los Angeles FC in London ahead of his move to the club.
Sky Italia state that the defender is set to join LAFC in the summer, with the club’s vice president of soccer operations & assistant general manager Will Kuntz expected to be at Wembley for Chiellini’s game for Italy against Argentina.
A meeting will take place between the player and Kuntz, with the transfer expected to take place in the next few days and the player will head of the USA at the end of June. Inter Miami were also linked with a move for the Italian.
Italy v Argentina will be Chiellini’s last game for Italy and the FIGC has organized a ceremony to pay tribute to the veteran in the best way possible. Before the kick-off, FIGC president Gabriele Gravina will deliver a trophy to Chiellini as a tribute to his extraordinary career in the national team, which culminated in the victory of the European Championship at Wembley.
