The agent of former Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp has late this week moved to play down speculation linking his client with what would be a surprise move to Spain with Real Madrid.
The name of tactician Klopp has of course proven an altogether prominent one in the headlines in Spain over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the mounting pressure on the shoulders of Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti gave rise to claims that the German could be targeted as his replacement.
Not only that, but some outlets went as far as to suggest that Klopp himself was ready to enter into negotiations with the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu.
During an appearance in front of the media on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his client’s future was put to agent Marc Kosicke.
Speaking to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, as cited by Fabrizio Romano, however, Kosicke moved to play down links between Klopp and both Real Madrid, and the Brazilian national team:
“Jürgen is very happy with his new role as Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull. He’s fully focused and happy there”
