As reported by Christian Falk, Julian Nagelsmann imagined a move to Tottenham Hotspur before eventually joining Bayern Munich in 2021.
While at RB Leipzig, Nagelsmann had another career step in mind before making the jump to one of the world’s top five clubs. As per the report, the now 35-year-old had his eyes on possibly joining Tottenham amongst other similar clubs. That was until Bayern Munich came knocking and Nagelsmann’s career took a huge jump.
Now relieved of his duties at Bayern, Nagelsmann may be getting a call from Tottenham who themselves sacked head coach Antonio Conte this week.
Ahead of his dismissal, the 35-year-old was blamed for negative sporting development in the Bundesliga as well as a lack of player development within his own squad. What’s more, Bayern bosses and some players were surprised to see Nagelsmann go on a skiing holiday during the international break whilst some players were still working.
Nagelsmann may be interested in proving himself in the Premier League with Spurs. What’s more, the former Bayern coach wanted Harry Kane in his squad. Perhaps he’ll get his forward after all.
