Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Julian Draxler (29), currently on loan at Benfica, and Leandro Paredes (28), currently on loan at Juventus, are set to return to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of their respective loan spells.
Romano reported earlier this month that World Champion Paredes was unlikely to remain at Juventus beyond the end of his current season-long loan. The Italian side had the opportunity to purchase the out-of-favour PSG midfielder for €22m, at the end of the season.
Paredes will likely return to Les Parisiens at the end of the season as things stand. Despite beginning the season at the French club, he found gametime limited, especially given the arrivals of Vitinha, Fabián Ruiz and Renato Sanches in the midfield. Youngster Warren Zaïre-Emery has since broken into the first team, meaning that Paredes would likely struggle to break back into the team at PSG.
He will likely be rejoined at the Parc des Princes by Draxler. The German international midfielder has made 18 appearances in all competitions for Benfica, scoring two goals. However, the PSG loanee is currently injured, and as reported by Romano, is expected to leave the Portuguese side. Both are “waiting for possible new solutions.”
