Barcelona’s Jules Koundé could possibly return in time from his injury against Real Madrid so that he can make an appearance in El Clásico, report Mundo Deportivo.
The 23-year-old suffered an injury on the 23rd of September in his left thigh while away on international duty with the French national team.
During Tuesday’s press conference prior to Barcelona’s match against Inter Milan, Xavi hinted at the possible return of Koundé:
It will depend on how he feels, but I see that he is doing well. I feel that he can make it for Sunday, yes.”
Having conceded 3 goals against Inter Milan at the Nou Camp last night, Xavi will be keen to shore up his defence prior to Barcelona’s key match against Real Madrid on Sunday.
The upcoming El Clásico fixture will take place on the 16th of October at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, with kick-off scheduled at 4.15pm local time.
