Joshua Kimmich is edging closer to extending his contract at Bayern Munich, according to Tobi Altschäffl.
The German international is in advanced talks with Bayern, with both sides eager to close the deal. Talks are coming down to the final numbers, as Bayern is ready to present a contract for the midfielder to sign. According to reports, Kimmich will receive no reduction in salary from his current contract.
The club remains confident and optimistic that Kimmich will be a Bayern Munich player beyond this campaign and, possibly, a future long-term captain and club legend.
Other Clubs Interest
Several clubs have been linked with a move for Kimmich from both the Premier League and La Liga. However, Real Madrid is no longer considering a move after engaging in talks, and clubs such as Liverpool are not actively pursuing the player as things stand. Kimmich has taken his time over this decision and has listened to all parties whilst always keeping up communication with Bayern.
