Jose Mourinho is seemingly willing to rebuild his midfield ahead of the 2022/23 season, with the Giallorossi interested in Torino’s Sasa Lukic after landing Nemanja Matic.
According to La Stampa, Roma have gained interest in signing Sasa Lukic from Torino this summer. The report claims that Serbia international had one of the best seasons for Ivan Juric’s side last campaign, where he amassed five goals and four assists from 34 appearances in Serie A.
The Giallorossi’s midfield has already witnessed the departure of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has reportedly joined Inter following the expiration of his contract at Roma.
At the age of 25, Lukic could be a decent option for Mourinho, the report insists. At the moment, the midfielder has two options in front of him. He could either consider extending his contract with Torino or decide to join Roma in what would be a step-up in his career.
Termed as an “indispensable” asset for Juric’s side, Lukic has two years left on his current terms at the Piedmontese club.
