Roma head coach José Mourinho has piqued attentions across social media on Monday evening.
This comes with the Portuguese having broken his silence on the back of Roma’s Serie A meeting with Fiorentina 24 hours ago.
The clash, which ultimately gave rise to a 1-1 result, saw tensions boil over during the 2nd-half, with Roma reduced to nine men.
His side’s 2nd red card of the night, shown to Romelu Lukaku, saw Mourinho left looking bemused on the sideline, with the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss having in turn refused to speak to the media post-match.
Today, though, he has broken his silence.
Taking to his official Instagram account, ‘Mou’ unveiled a series of photos, alongside several interesting captions.
One showcased a dangerous challenge on the part of one of Fiorentina’s stars, which he evidently felt was worthy of harsher punishment. The image was accompanied by the following cryptic message:
“Silence is one of the great arts of conversation, by Marcus Tulius Cicero, old Roman wisdom”
Mourinho also sent a message of gratitude to the Roma faithful, after a banner reading ‘The eyes inebriated with Giallorossi colours. The soul pervaded by Romanism. Jose Mourinho Romanista for life!’ was unveiled at the Stadio Oilmpico.
“Grazie Grazie Grazie 💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️” the 60-year-old wrote.
