According to a report by Andrea Losapio of Tutto Juve, Jose Mourinho called Filip Kostic to convince him to accept Fenerbahce’s offer. The Serbian stood on the fringes of the Juventus squad and was risking being left out of the team due to rejecting offers from Saudi Arabia.

Kostic joins Fenerbahce on loan with the option to buy set at €6 million. The player’s salary will be covered fully by the Turkish side and the Bianconeri consider this a key move to enable youngsters like Kenan Yildiz and Samuel Mbangula to rise up the ranks.

The 31-year-old leaves Juventus after two seasons, registering 88 appearances, netting thrice and recording 12 assists across all competitions. Kostic received numerous offer during his time at Turin but he chose to fight for his position at the club but it is time for him to make a name elsewhere.
