José Bordalás has spoken in a farewell press conference after he was sacked by Valencia.
“It was unexpected. The owners are in charge. That is football and I have to accept it. I would have liked to stay on. That was my dream,” Bordalás said.
On Carlos Soler and José Luis Gayà
“They are two magnificent players, I see them as super players, they are part of Valencia’s heritage and they should continue here. That’s what I would like.
“They have Valencia in their hearts and they have shown it. Hugo Guillamón, too, and many of the boys. Many of them said to me, thank you for giving me my debut in the Valencia shirt,” he said in quotes reported by Deportes COPE Valencia.
