Jorge Molina is eyeing a swift return to the Primera División with Granada next season.
Speaking on a Twitch program dedicated to Getafe’s fifth anniversary of promotion to the top-flight, former Getafe man Molina discussed his goals for the upcoming season with Granada and also granted his thoughts on teammate Luis Milla’s transfer situation.
Molina, who missed a decisive penalty on the final matchday against Espanyol, looked back on the relegation, in quotes picked up by Marca.
“It was a complicated moment and a cruel ending, but now it’s important to get back up and face the next season with utmost enthusiasm, with the challenge of going back up. Let’s try and get another promotion.”
Commenting on Luis Milla’s transfer saga, Molina said:
“I haven’t spoken to him (Milla) about it. I would prefer that he stays with us, he’s a very good player and we enjoy a good relationship.”
Whilst former club Getafe have lined up Luis Milla, Molina ruled out any move of his own back to the Madrid-based side.
“I haven’t talked to anyone, neither Getafe nor any other team. I’m comfortable at Granada and now I’m only focused on starting the season as best as possible. Hopefully, I can achieve my fourth successive promotion in my years in Segunda.”
