25-year-old Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny has reached an agreement with Hertha Berlin, according to Bild.
Kenny will join the Bundesliga club on a free transfer when his contract with the Premier League side expires on June 30.
The Englishman spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Schalke, playing 34 competitive games, scoring two and creating three.
Kenny is likely to be Hertha Berlin’s first option at right-back, replacing Peter Pekarík (35) whilst Julian Eitschberger (18) will be slowly integrated into the first team after being awarded his Bundesliga debut on April 9.
The 25-year-old right-back, who can operate in a back-four or five will be Hertha BSC’s second summer arrival after signing Filip Uremović (25), who spent the last six months on loan at Sheffield United, from Rubin Kazan.
Hertha Berlin secured their Bundesliga status under the tutelage of Felix Magath, who guided the Old Lady to an aggregate win against 2. Bundesliga side Hamburg in the Bundesliga playoff.
