Jonathan Burkardt is closing in on a return from the calf injury he suffered back in November.
According to Bild, the 25-year-old striker could make the bench for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Bundesliga game against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday – provided training goes smoothly this week and he avoids any setbacks.
In addition to Burkardt, Eintracht are also currently without winter signing Younes Ebnoutalib up front.
Bild reports that the 22-year-old could return to action by the end of February.
