João Palhinha has arrived for his medical in Germany ahead of his transfer to Bayern Munich.
Bayern have agreed a fee with Fulham for the midfielder, who will cost around €65m.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the contract will be signed until 2028 and all the documents are ready however Bayern are still awaiting confirmation from Fulham to purchase him, due to them looking for his replacement.
At the moment, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is Fulham’s number one target to replace Palhinha although reports suggest that he has turned down a move to the London side but talks still remain open.
Alex Iwobi looks set to sign from Everton for a fee in the region of £22m however Marco Silva would certainly like one more midfielder if the Portuguese international is to leave.
Everything is nearing completion on Bayern Munich’s side of the deal, but they now must wait patiently for Fulham to find their new defensive midfielder.
The deal is not done yet with less than two hours left until the Bundesliga transfer window closes.
