Jérémie Boga (27) is set for a lengthy injury absence, as confirmed by OGC Nice manager Franck Haise. The Ivory Coast winger has been in and out of the team this season. He began the season, missing the opening Ligue 1 games.
However, he is now set for a more extended break on the sidelines. Haise has described the muscle injury as “severe”, evoking an absence of several months, without specifying the exact duration. However, L’Équipe have put Boga’s recovery time anywhere between three and four months. The publication specifies that it is an injury to the winger’s quadriceps in his right thigh.
It is yet another blow for Nice, who have had to contend with an injury crisis throughout the campaign. In his absence, Evann Guessand is capable of filling in on the left, as is Sofiane Diop. So far this season, Boga had played 13 games for Les Aiglons, netting twice and registering one assist.
