Hertha BSC have suspended veteran goalkeeper Rune Jarstein after a training incident.
According to Bild, the 37-year-old was left out of Hertha’s squad for yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt after he voiced clear criticism of goalkeeping coach Andreas Menger.
Apparently, Jarstein complained about the content of the training and a lack of communication.
“Rune wasn’t present today for sporting and disciplinary reasons against Frankfurt. There will now be a very timely conversation with him and his agent,” explained Hertha managing director for sport Fredi Bobic after the game.
As a result of Jarstein’s suspension, his contract, which expires in 2023, could potentially be terminated, per Bild.
