As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Jamal Musiala is eager to feature for Bayern Munich against FC Barcelona this Wednesday.
The German international recently sat out of the latest international break and also missed Bayern’s game against VfB Stuttgart last weekend due to a hip injury.
However, the 21-year-old is working intensively to ensure that he is fit enough to be named in Bayern’s squad for Wednesday’s Champions League fixture.
The attacking midfielder resumed team training on Monday but a decision has not been made on whether he’ll travel with the team this week.
Bayern currently sit 15th in the new Champions League format having won one and lost one from their opening two fixtures.
Barcelona are in a similar position so three points during matchday 3 will be crucial for both teams as they seek to get into the top 8.
After Wednesday’s game, Bayern will then turn their attention to bottom place Bochum on Sunday.
