FC St. Pauli have confirmed that club captain Jackson Irvine has suffered a new injury setback.
The 32-year-old midfielder has problems with his left foot, the club revealed.
Irvine previously underwent surgery for a stress reaction in the same foot at the end of April 2025.
He finally returned to action in October 2025 and has gone on to make nine appearances, but the foot is now causing him problems again.
St. Pauli are set to face Wolfsburg on Wednesday in their first game of 2026.
