“It will take a very, very, very long time to digest this,” said Niclas Füllkrug after Germany’s World Cup exit.

Niclas Füllkrug says Germany’s disappointing World Cup group stage exit is “extremely difficult to digest”.
“We didn’t fail to get through from the group stage because of today. We had a lot of problems against Japan. That was the decisive game,” said the Germany forward.
“It hurts a lot and is extremely difficult to digest. It will take a very, very, very long time to digest this.”
Füllkrug came on from the bench in all three of Germany’s games, scoring two goals.
