Inter defender Francesco Acerbi had actually agreed a new deal with the Serie A giants days before his racism scandal in the game against Napoli.
The Italian’s racism case against Napoli’s Juan Jesus will see a decision made next week, with the defender having spoken to the Prosecutor earlier today. Pasquale Guarro has reported about the Italian, who had actually agreed to sign a new Inter deal days before the incident with Jesus.
He had agreed to sign a deal till the summer of 2026, with the option of extending it till the summer of 2027. Inter would’ve had the option to unilaterally terminate his contract in 2027, which is similar to the deal signed previously by Danilo D’Ambrosio and Mark Arnautovic.
Acerbi’s situation is currently uncertain, but the report states that talk about an exit is premature but the renewal which was agreed would not influence Inter’s choice about their decision regarding the player. The contract has virtually been agreed, but Inter aren’t moving too quickly.
