Inter are set to make first contact with Chelsea for the signing of Romelu Lukaku today.
The Belgian is very much keen to return to Inter this summer and Chelsea have opened up to a loan deal but no talks have taken place between the two clubs for a move.
Sky Italia state that the move is a concrete possibility and Inter want to sign the Belgian on an onerous loan deal. In the next few hours, first contact between the two parties will be made. Chelsea will be willing to listen to what Inter can offer, even if their initial offer may be a lower one than what the Blues want.
There will be a difference between Inter’s offer and Chelsea’s valuation but the difference will not be unsurmountable. Both Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are working on two different deals at the same time, with contacts for Paulo Dybala also continuing. Even in that case, there is a bit of a difference between demand and supply.
Steven Zhang is about to return to Italy and that is expected to fire up negotiations on both fronts and the renewal of Simone Inzaghi will also take shape.
