Serie A giants Inter set their sights on Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson for the summer transfer window.
According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have identified Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson as a potential summer signing. The Nerazzurri have established primary contacts and are now assessing the competition from other clubs for the player.
The Grifone are expected to set a minimum asking price of €30 million for the forward as they know that clubs like Inter, Juventus and Tottenham are interested in him.
Simone Inzaghi’s side plans to set up a meeting with Gudmundsson’s entourage in the next few days and then with the Ligurian club. This activity might just edge them up in the race but it is set to be a tough transfer battle.
Inter might opt for a Davide Frattesi-type deal — an expensive loan deal with the obligation to buy at the end of it. However, further developments are awaited and it remains to be seen how the negotiations with Genoa progress.
