Inter Milan are closing in on the signing of Marseille forward Luis Henrique after reaching a verbal agreement with the Brazilian.
Foot Mercato reports that the Italian giants have offered Enrique a five-year contract until 2030 and are working towards finalising a deal with the Ligue 1 outfit.
The total transfer fee could rise to €35 million.
Having already secured the transfer of Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Petar Sucic, Inter are looking to make Henrique their next major acquisition for the summer.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a prolific breakout campaign with Marseille this season, racking up nine goals and eight assists in all competitions.
The Brazilian has been a catalyst in Roberto De Zerbi’s side that have been playing an attractive brand of football and are well-positioned to secure Champions League qualification.
His impressive performances have also caught the attention of top clubs like Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Newcastle United, but Inter have moved ahead in the transfer race.
Henrique will bring more flair and quality to Inter’s attack spearheaded by the iconic duo of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
With Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa seeing their contracts run out at the end of the season, Henrique can be a perfect addition to bolster Simone Inzaghi’s side.
Midfielder Davide Frattesi’s future at San Siro is up in the air due to the lack of game time, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan has hinted he could possibly hang up his boots at the end of the season.
The Nerazzurri are monitoring Como’s Argentine sensation Nico Paz, who has been a revelation in Serie A this season.

Inter failed to extend the lead at the top of the table following the defeat to Bologna. They are now level on points with second-placed Napoli.
They will face arch-rivals AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg on Wednesday, with the aggregate score standing at 1-1.
