Inter add Premier League star to the list of replacements for PSG-linked Milan Skriniar

Inter have started paying attention to the potential replacements for Milan Skriniar as the defender is closing in on a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have shortlisted Leicester City’s Caglar Söyüncü as a potential replacement for Milan Skriniar.

The Ligue 1 champions will reportedly hold a meeting with Inter within the next 48 hours in an attempt to conclude the deal for Skriniar.

Inter are firm on their asking price of €80 million for the defender, while PSG want to complete the transfer at €60 million (including bonuses).

The fresh talks could see both teams coming to a general agreement. It is anticipated that a deal could be closed at €70 million if the involved parties take the route of a diplomatic resolution.

Despite being unenthusiastic about a move away from Inter initially, Skriniar has now given his consent to the transfer. In the French capital, the defender will understandably earn a net salary of €7.7 million per season.

Söyüncü’s contract at Leicester expires in June 2023. While Inter think that they could convince the Premier League side to sell the Turkish international at an affordable price due to the player’s contract situation, the list of potential replacements also includes the names of Torino’s Gleison Bremer and Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic.
