Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett has revealed how much he spent on UFC 324 tickets for family and friends ahead of his highly-anticipated showdown with Justin Gaethje.
Pimblett headlines UFC 324 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for the interim lightweight championship this evening, a title once held by his opponent back in 2020.
Gaethje has had a career with a rich legacy in the UFC, having faced Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dustin Poirier, and Max Holloway. However, the unwaveringly confident Pimblett holds no remorse in looking to add his name to the list of famed opponents.
Pimblett said: “I am going to come out and finish him, add another legend to my resume and take this interim title back home to Liverpool, England.”
The Baddy’s last fight was a third-round knockout of Michael Chandler, and the Scouser has the longest winning streak in the lightweight division with seven straight victories.
How Many Tickets Paddy Pimblett Purchased For UFC 324
In an interview that has since been shared by X account Happy Punch, Pimblett revealed how many tickets he’s purchased for the event, and how much that set him back as he looks to ensure he has the masses on his side.
The 31-year-old has brought 250 tickets for the event, costing $140,000-150,000 in an effort to bring over all those close to him and credited with helping him reach this point in his career.
On top of his allocated seating, Pimblett said: “There’s a load of Scousers who have got tickets that I haven’t got tickets for, so there’s gonna be a good few in here put it that way.”
A city known for adoring local heroes, it should come as no surprise that Liverpudlians have flocked to America to witness the man from Huyton’s biggest contest of his career so far.
Some supporters believe the local noise is going to be a deciding factor in the fight. One fan took to social media to say: “It’s a smart play because they control the vibe and that can detract from Gaethje’s abilities if he’s not careful.”
The winner of Pimblett vs Gaethje will likely have the chance to challenge Ilia Topuria in the summer for the undisputed lightweight championship, an opportunity that would prove the biggest of Pimblett’s career as his meteoric rise continues.
UFC 324 Card
Also on the UFC 324 card, heavyweights Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Derrick Lewis meet, as well as a return to the Octagon for ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley as he takes on Chinese fighter Song Yadong.
