La Liga giants Barcelona have on Saturday been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation of Eric García rampung up his recovery from injury.
Eric, for his part, has been sidelined since last month, after being forced into a last-minute departure from the pre-match warm-up for Barcelona’s meeting with Sevilla.
The former Manchester City man has since missed Barca’s last six outings, against Sevilla, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Espanyol, Red Star Belgrade, and Real Sociedad.
After initial uncertainty, Eric’s problem was subsequently confirmed to be pubalgia, a chronic groin lesion which often affects athletes.
If the latest footage to have surfaced on Saturday is anything to go by, though, then the Spanish international appears to be closing on an imminent comeback.
As showcased below, Eric is now taking part in high-intensity training drills, indoor and outdoor, with and without the ball.
Should all go according to plan, the 23-year-old, in turn, should be given the medical green light to return to the pitch against Celta Vigo on November 23rd.
