Harry Kane’s extended media rollout on Saturday morning concluded with the 30-year-old conducting a brief interview with FC Bayern TV. The English footballing superstar discussed his reasoning for joining the German giants, spoke on the welcome he received from Bayern fans, and (in an answer to the million-dollar-question) revealed that he wished to play in tonight’s Supercup.

“This club has won so many titles,” Kane said of his decision to move too the record champions, “and they demonstrate a winning mentality year after year. When you think Bayern, you think of one of the best clubs in the world. I’ve always said that I wanted to develop in my career and become the best version of myself. This felt like the right move in my career.”

“It was a very special feeling,” Kane said of the fans who were waiting for him at the airport, in front of the offices ahead of his medical, and on his way to the training ground, “It was a new feeling for me; a great feeling. I can’t wait to meet the fans at the stadium, show my qualities on the pitch, and hopefully score a lot of goals.”

“I’ll obviously be right there for [tonight’s] Supercup,” the England skipper noted in conclusion, “And hopefully be able to participate. I’m ready to get going as soon as possible.”
