Tottenham manager Igor Tudor needs to make some changes if he wants to steer the club away from the relegation zone, and with players coming back from injury, he now has the opportunity to mix things up.
Over the last few months, Thomas Frank and now Tudor have had the excuse of a lack of players to fall back on, with Spurs having a host of injury troubles to contend with.
It’s still not a perfect situation for Tudor, with some of Tottenham’s key stars still on the treatment table, but we’re starting to see more senior players on the bench.
Tottenham’s results need to drastically improve if they want to steer themselves away from the relegation zone, with the threat of dropping to the Championship looking more serious week by week.
Tudor Needs to Axe Kolo Muani
Tudor needs to make some bold changes if he wants to turn things around at Tottenham, and one player he needs to drop is Randal Kolo Muani.
The French striker isn’t suited to this wide role he was asked to play against Fulham, and there’s an ideal replacement chomping at the bit on the bench.
Richarlison came off the bench against Fulham to score his eighth Premier League goal of the season, meaning he is Tottenham’s top goalscorer in the competition, scoring double the number of goals as the player in second place.
The Brazilian international always seems to contribute when the chips are down, as we also saw at Everton, and he’s more comfortable than Kolo Muani when it comes to playing out wide.
Kolo Muani simply hasn’t contributed enough this season, despite his recent goal against Arsenal, and there’s no excuse for Tudor not to make a change this week ahead of their game against Crystal Palace.
‘Embarrassing’ – Jamie O’Hara Names 3 ‘Huge Problems’ at Tottenham After Fulham
The former Tottenham midfielder isn’t happy.
Dragusin Must Also be Axed
Radu Dragusin was taken off against Fulham at the weekend, and replaced by Kevin Danso, and that’s exactly the change Tudor needs to make from the start against Palace.
Dragusin has struggled for Spurs ever since he joined the club, and with Danso now back from injury, it’s time to bring him back into the starting XI.
Tudor had little choice but to start Dragusin against Arsenal and Fulham, but he now has an option to make a change, and it could be crucial in their fight to stay in the Premier League.
There’s no doubt Tudor doesn’t have many options due to their injury situation, but there are changes he could be making later this week.
