Barcelona star Marc Casadó has tonight moved to lavish praise on a fellow member of the club’s midfield ranks.
The player in question? Pedri.
Casadó and Pedri were both in from the off this evening, forming the base of Barcelona’s midfield in the club’s Champions League meeting with Borussia Dortmund.
En route to an eventual 3-2 Blaugrana triumph, the former arguably enjoyed the more impressive outing, continuing to defy the odds amid a breakout debut campaign in Catalunya’s capital.
And yet, post-match, Casadó was keen to make clear once more his appreciation for the talents boasted by Pedri.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at Signal Iduna Park, the 21-year-old was asked about his engine room partner, and went on to respond:
“Pedri is a world-class player. Whenever I feel any problem, I always give him the ball. Playing with him is a guarantee.”
