As reported via FT, Hull City are set to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Gustavo Puerta.
It is understood that the Tigers have reached an agreement with Die Werkself, which will see the Colombian move to England on a season-long loan.
However, Hull have been able to secure an obligation to buy clause within the contract at the end of the campaign, should certain criteria be met.
As well as this, it is believed that personal terms between Hull and Puerta have already been agreed upon, with both parties having previously discussed terms earlier this week.
Therefore, it is expected that the 21-year-old will make his way to English shores within the next 24 hours in order to complete a medical with the Championship club before signing a contract at the MKM Stadium.
Last season, Puerta featured on just ten occasions for Xabi Alonso’s side, starting just twice, with both occasions coming in the Europa League group stages.
