Euro 2024 is less than a week away, with the tournament set to kick off in Germany on 14th June. This article will contain everything you need to know in terms of tickets, from how to purchase them to the price of the tickets themselves.
International teams such as England, Spain, France and Belgium will all be locking horns to claim the crown as European Champions, with Gareth Southgate’s side having never won the trophy in the country’s history and looking to change that. This sets up what should be a magical summer in the heart of Germany, a nation that has won the competition three times but enters their home tournament without the same characteristic assurance. The entire world will want to be in the stands to see the frantic action unfold.
There has been an unprecedented demand for tickets. At the first window of purchases in October 2023, UEFA reported that more than 20 million requests were made – that’s a larger figure than the population of 16 countries competing in the tournament. Here’s everything you need to know about securing a highly coveted seat at this late stage of the process.

Ticket Resale Platform
UEFA announced that their Ticket Resale Platform was designed for fans to offer their tickets to be sold to others at face value and with peace of mind. It had the intention of cutting off any potential ticketing touts that may be in force either before or during Euro 2024 and guarantees that the sellers receive their money in full.
Fans were given several opportunities to sell and buy tickets in what UEFA call “windows,” which began in March and ended in the middle of April 2024. They were listed with the following criteria:
- Ticket holders had a time slot to offer their tickets for resale. During this time slot, they could offer as many of their tickets as they wished to sell.
- Fans then had a time slot to purchase the tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Fans could purchase a maximum of four tickets per match and a maximum of 12 tickets in total across the tournament, subject to availability.
- If any tickets remained unsold, they were returned to the ticket holder and no refund was issued.
Now this deadline has passed, there are no further opportunities for fans to exchange tickets. Those still wanting to attend the tournament had a final opportunity in the last-minute sale on 2nd May 2024 which was quickly drained of seats. IIfanother window presents itself, fans are advised to create a ticketing account on UEFA’s official website which will allow them to receive any updates regarding future developments.

Knockout Stage Matches Resale
Amid the excitement of a ticket-buying flurry, fans can overestimate their nation’s position in the tournament power rankings. The expanded nature of the competition ensures that 16 of the 24 teams that participate in the group stage will make it through to the knockout rounds, but that still leaves eight unhappy sets of supporters.
The ambitious fans who secured a seat for a knockout round match only to discover that their team could not match their expectations can enter the resale process which begins during the tournament. As the knockout-stage participants are revealed following the final round of group games, UEFA will open a resale platform on 23rd June dedicated to tickets for matches in the round of 16 and onwards.

Tickets during the initial sale period were priced within four different categories. These categories were numbered from one to three alongside UEFA’s new cost-effective strategy which falls under the label ‘Fans First’.
Category one tickets ranged from £173 to £874 depending on the stage of the tournament. These were the most expensive set of tickets and therefore, fans that applied for them stood a better chance of being successful in their application due to less competition. Category two tickets varied from £131 to £524, Category three from £52 to £262 and the ‘Fans First’ category ranged from £26 to £83. Unsurprisingly, the most expensive set of tickets is for the final. It will see one nation win one of the hardest competitions in the world at the Olympiastadion — one of the best stadiums across the globe. Fans will have to pay a premium price to watch it unfold in front of their eyes.
Hospitality
Compared to the standard ticket purchasing system, the procedure to secure hospitality tickets for Euro 2024 is somewhat more complex. UEFA have confirmed a partnership with 2024 Hospitality Experience AG, who will “create, promote, sell and deliver unique ticket-inclusive hospitality packages for UEFA EURO 2024”. These tickets have already been made available for purchase and the details are provided below. There are a total of four different packages, providing fans with plenty of choices as to what path they take through the tournament. Those packages are as follows:
Venue Series
This package will grant fans access to all matches played at a particular stadium throughout the tournament, and prices will vary depending on the venue of the choice. See the table below for specific prices for each venue, as per the official price list.
