Sport1 are reporting that Houssem Aouar and Eintracht Frankfurt are in talks over a free transfer in the summer.
The deal is not yet completed, but details of the contract have already been negotiated between the two parties. It is reported that Aouar will earn €250,000 a month and a €5 million signing bonus. The 24-year-old is likely to be the replacement for Daichi Kamada who is set to join Borussia Dortmund in the summer on a free transfer.
Aouar has slowly fallen out of favour at Lyon over the past few years since his breakout in 2017. This season he has only played 10 times for Lyon, scoring once and assisting once.
The 24-year-old could give his career a kickstart in the Bundesliga having seen the impact that Randal Kolo Muani has had in his first season in Germany. Since moving on a free transfer from Nantes, Kolo Muani has 15 goals and 14 assists in 32 games and even played himself into France’s World Cup squad.
