Kicker reports that Hoffenheim are working on extending the contract of striker Maximilian Beier who has been one of their standout players at the beginning of the Bundesliga season.
Beier’s current contract expires in 2025 and Hoffenheim have been working behind the seasons to try and extend this contract to stop him leaving the club for less than he is worth.
The 20-year-old is currently valued at €2m but Hoffenheim hopes to eventually sell the striker for a double-digit fee following in the footsteps of players such as Christoph Baumgartner, David Raum, Kevin Volland and a host of other players who have left the club in the past.
In his first professional season with Hoffenheim, Beier has ended up with five goals and one assist in seven Bundesliga games, this form even resulted in rumours of Julian Nagelsmann calling up the striker to the German national team for the October international friendlies due to Germany’s lack of strikers.
