Earlier today, Hoffenheim announced the departure of Sebastian Rudy, revealing that the midfielder’s expiring contract will not be renewed after a total of 11 years with the club.

According to Sky Germany, his replacement could be former Hoffenheim player Florian Grillitsch, who is set to leave Ajax after a disappointing season.

The report claims that talks between the parties have taken place, but that an agreement is still some way off.

Grillitsch joined Ajax in the summer of 2022 after spending five years at Hoffenheim.
