According to Florian Plettenberg, Hoffenheim have made an official bid for RB Salzburg centre-back Oumar Solet.
It had previously been reported that Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side were looking to secure the services of Le Havre defender Étienne Youté Kinkoué.
However, despite having a medical scheduled for the 22-year-old, Hoffenheim pulled out of the deal due to a late change in conditions from Le Havre’s perspective.
Nevertheless, Die Kraichgauer have found a replacement for Youté Kinkoué.
It is understood that Hoffenheim have submitted a €6.5 million bid with additional future bonuses to RB Salzburg for Oumar Solet.
The 24-year-old French defender has one year remaining on his deal with the Austrian outfit and is more than willing to depart the club this summer.
As Hoffenheim close in on securing a deal for Solet, Matarazzo’s side are still looking to complete a move for Southampton defender Armel Bella-Kotchap.
Negotiations with the Saints are underway, and personal terms with Bella-Kotchap are said to not be an issue as Hoffenheim look to secure both players before the end of the transfer window.
