Former Schalke and Hannover head coach André Breitenreiter will be appointed as a successor to Sebastian Hoeneß at Hoffenheim, according to Kicker.
An agreement between Breitenreiter and TSG has been reached, with the announcement expected this week.
Hoffenheim will pay FC Zurich, Breitenreiter’s current team, a reported €300,000 to get their coach.
Following a successful spell at TSV Havelse, Breitenreiter was appointed as head coach of Paderborn in 2013 before roles at Schalke and Hannover. After two years out of coaching, the 48-year-old led FC Zürich to the Swiss Super League title this season after being appointed in 2021.
