Hertha BSC have announced that Pal Dardai will stay on as coach beyond the summer.

Dardai returned for his third spell in charge in April, but couldn’t save Hertha from relegation.

Nevertheless, the German capital club have decided to stick with him as coach for the upcoming season in the 2. Bundesliga.

“We are delighted that Pál will be helping to shape the blue and white’s new beginning as head coach,” said Hertha sporting director Benjamin Weber.

“He lives and breathes Hertha BSC and with his hard work, dedication and passion for our club, he is the right man for the upcoming challenges that we will face together.”

Dardai commented:

“I am very happy and satisfied. [Club CEO] Thomas Herrich, Benjamin Weber and I have had good and honest discussions. I have the feeling that we all work, want to work and will work together for the good of Hertha BSC,” Dardai emphasized.
