FC Heidenheim have completed the signing of Danish striker Mikkel Kaufmann from Union Berlin.
23-year-old striker Mikkel Kaufmann is moving from one Bundesliga club to another.
On Friday, FC Heidenheim confirmed the signing of the Dane from Union Berlin on a contract until 2028.
“Mikkel is a striker who always runs at the opponent and presses. His style of play makes him a perfect fit for us,” said FC Heidenheim CEO Holger Sanwald.
“In addition, Mikkel is young and his football development is far from complete. We would have liked to have signed him last year and have now intensified our talks with Mikkel after the transfer of Tim Kleindienst. We are all the more pleased that we have now managed to sign him.”
Kaufmann, who scored one goal in 19 games for Union last season, said:
“I’m looking forward to starting pre-season training with my new teammates next week and am excited about my time in Heidenheim. I was particularly impressed by the sporting development of FCH last season and I’m keen to play my part in helping them stay in the league this season.”
