Heavyweight Who ‘Knocked Out’ Usyk & Dubois in Sparring Predicts Rematch

A heavyweight boxer who allegedly bested both Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois in sparring has made a bold prediction ahead of the fighters’ July showdown.

Usyk and Dubois will do battle once more, this time at Wembley Stadium, following up on their controversial August 2023 bout at Stadion Wroclaw, Poland, which was defined by a supposed low blow punch on Usyk by Dubois.

Many argued that the low blow ruling should not have stood, with prominent boxing figures arguing that it was a legitimate punch. The fight eventually went the way of the Ukrainian, who won in the ninth round by KO.

The significance of the low-blow incident was not lost on Usyk, as he presented his British counterpart with a picture of the punch for him to sign at a recent press conference announcing the rematch, with “The Cat” already getting to work on the mind games.

Both men are in fine form going into the bout, with Dubois besting Anthony Joshua in September 2024, and Usyk overcoming Tyson Fury twice in 2024 in Riyadh.

And now, former WBO International and WBO-NABO heavyweight champ Martin Bakole has made his assessment of his likely outcome known, stoking the fires ahead of the 19th of July redo which has all four world titles up for grabs.

Martin Bakole’s Prediction For Usyk vs Dubois 2

Bakole has previously claimed to stop both of them in sparring

Martin Bakole

“Usyk, except me, beats everyone. Deontay Wilder, I think, is done. Usyk is a boxing man, boxing brain, boxing movement. I don’t think no one will stop him right now except Martin Bakole.

“I know why I am saying that because I learned boxing from my brother, a southpaw. I know how to stop and cut off the ring. But Daniel Dubois doesn’t.

“I was expecting Usyk to get beaten by ‘The Gypsy King’, but I was shocked he beat him twice. Joshua is a good, tough guy, but he doesn’t know how to cut the ring. Daniel Dubois will never change, he will just keep his style, but Usyk is [better] than him.”

Regardless of whether Bakole’s prognosis proves true, Usyk vs Dubois II promises to be a fight of epic proportions as “The Cat and “Dynamite” look to settle old scores.
