“He should become a face of FC Bayern.” – Max Eberl on Jamal Musiala

For Bayern Munich, the time is ticking to ensure Jamal Musiala agrees to a new long-term deal at the club.

The 21-year-old’s current deal at the Allianz Arena is set to expire in 2026, but Der Rekordmeister are undoubtedly hoping that the German international does not enter the final year of his contract.

With Real Madrid and Manchester City looking to lure Musiala away from Bavaria, most likely on a free transfer in 2026, Bayern know that they have to get a new deal over the line.

While they do not want to lose one of the most valuable players in world football for free, there are also plans to link Musiala up with his Germany teammate Florian Wirtz next summer.

This would see the pair become the future of the record champions, a vision shared by Bayern’s director of sport, Max Eberl:

“We are always in contact; further discussions will follow. He should become a face of FC Bayern in the future. His journey at FC Bayern is far from over. He wants to win titles, and that is exactly what we want too.”

It has already been established that if Bayern are to secure Musiala’s future, then they will need to raise his salary to that of being a top earner at the club—an annual salary within the region of €15 million.

However, convincing Musiala about their sporting project will be key in getting a deal over the line, meaning that it will be an anxious few months for those at the Säbener Straße.
