Despite the contract renewal of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Bayern Munich still have Harry Kane on their wishlist this summer, according to Bild.
Choupo-Moting has been a revelation since the departure of Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona last year. At first, Julian Nagelsmann tried to play without a recognised striker but it was clear it was causing problems. Since the Cameroonian’s introduction as number 9, he has scored 15 goals in 24 competitive games.
The 33-year-old has now earned himself a contract extension until 2024 and almost tripled his annual salary to around €10m.
Despite this, Bayern still wishes to bring in England and Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane this summer. The 29-year-old’s contra expires in 2024 but an extension is likely this summer unless Bayern can persuade him otherwise. Spurs will be tough negotiating partners but would be more willing to sell their striker to a team outside of the Premier League.
