Bayern Munich have announced that Harry Kane will take a break from training for the next few days due to a knock picked up during their 1-1 draw with Celtic.
Kane went off at half-time during the draw, being replaced by Kingsley Coman. The reason for Kane’s substitution is due to a calf problem, which resulted in bleeding.
Bild reports that Kane will now be monitored day to day for the rest of the week and at the moment he is a doubt for their game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday afternoon. Due to Kane’s early substitution, the 31-year-old was able to avoid a major injury.
Bayern’s issue now is who will replace Kane. In their squad, they have no senior recognised strikers who can deputise the Englishman, after loaning out Mathys Tel to Tottenham during the January transfer window. The current squad members who could fill in for Kane are Serge Gnabry and Thomas Müller.
