Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was keen to bring a current member of his midfield ranks in Catalunya to Germany during his time in charge of Bayern Munich.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Pedri as the player in question.
Youngster Pedri has of course played a starring role under the watch of new boss Flick over the early months of the campaign.
In fact, the 21-year-old has featured in all 14 of Barcelona’s fixtures across all competitions, made use of from the off in all but two.
Across this time, Pedri has looked back to his brilliant best, fresh off a pair of back-to-back top-class performances against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then it would appear that the Spaniard’s new manager has long been well aware of just how differential a player Pedri is when firing on all cylinders.
As per a report from Sport:
‘Hansi Flick wanted to sign Pedri when he was manager of Bayern Munich.’
